Briefing about the film’s details, Allari Naresh said, “This is my 53rd film. After ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’ and ‘Gamyam’, this film will have potentiality in that range. I am happy that Boppana Chandrasekhar who earlier worked with me for ‘Kevvu Keka’, is producing the film. The film is the remake of Malayalam super hit film ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’. I am very happy that G Prajith who directed Malayalam version is handling the Telugu version too. DJ Vasanth who provide hit music album ‘Sudigadu’ is providing musical tunes. It's a romantic thriller blended with comedy and thrilling elements. Regular shooting will commence at Pollachi from March 16 onwards. Entire shooting part will be wrapped up in a single schedule.”

On this occasion, music director DJ Vasanth shared, “’Sudigadu’ is a remake film. We all know how much big hit ‘Sudigadu’ was. I wish ‘Meda Meeda Abbayi’ will become super hit.”

Heroine Nikhila Vimal expressed her happiness saying, “I did two films in Malayalam and two in Tamil. I am extremely happy to be introduced to the Telugu film industry through ‘Meda Meeda Abbayi’ the remake of a super hit film.”

Producer Boppana Chandrasekhar said, “Malayalam super hit film ‘Oru Vadakkan Selfie’ is my favorite film. I waited for four years and found a different script for my hero Allari Naresh. ‘Meda Meeda Abbayi’ has a nice story. I am sure the film will stand out as a good film.”

Allari Naresh has given a row of nine back to back failures and the latest being ‘Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam’. Amidst a dry phase continuing, Naresh took a small time gap before launching ‘Meda Meeda Abbayi’. Breaking away from his usual set of characters, Allari Naresh will be seen as an engineering student with unending backlogs and completes his course in six years. Unlike horror comedies and slapstick comedies, Naresh picked thriller with comedy facing for this movie.

Let’s wait and see whether remakes can still work wonders for Naresh like ‘Sudigadu’ movie.
