Kollywood veteran director Bharathiraja has been approached by producer Aditya Baradwaj to direct the biopic of Jayalalitha. Last year, the producer announced a project titled ‘Thaai: Puratchi Thalaivi’ but it didn’t go on floors for various reasons. Recently, Aditya met Bharathiraja and asked him to helm the biopic. Director Vijay is already working on a biopic of Jayalalithaa for Vibri media and Mysskin’s erstwhile associate Priyadarshini also recently announced her version of Jayalalitha biopic.
In an interaction, Priyadarshini said that she is planning to highlight the loneliness existed in Jayalalitha’s life and how the late Chief Minister single-handedly faced all the hurdles in her life. Priyadarshini says she will announce the cast and crew of her film on September 20. A leading OTT (Over-the-Top) player is also said to have given green signal to an interesting web series based on Jayalalitha’s life.
