According to the latest buzz in Tollywood film Industry, 'Rangasthalam 1985' is being touted as a silent remake of ‘Oorukichchina Maata‘, directed by M. Balaia and jointly produced by Suryanarayana Alaparthi and Venkat Rao Mannava. The film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, Betha Sudhakar, and Madhavi, which was released in 1981. Director Sukumar has taken special care while making the movie. It is heard that Sukumar has taken inspiration and references from Chiranjeevi and prepared the storyline of 'Rangasthalam 1985'. The makers have changed the Ram Charan’s look and he will be seen as a differently abled person in this Village drama.

Recently the makers released the first look poster of the film shows Ram Charan dancing ecstatically for some reason. Actress Samantha Akkineni is playing the female lead, while Pooja Hegde will be seen in a special song in the film, being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
